Local Honey
At Berkshire Creek Farm we harvest small-batch, raw local honey. The bees forage on nearby wildflowers, orchard blossoms, and pasture edges, producing honey that captures the flavors and seasonal characteristics of our community’s landscape.
What you’ll get
Raw and unfiltered: Preserves natural enzymes, pollen, and flavor.
Small-batch jars: Gentle extraction and minimal processing to retain complexity.
Seasonally distinct: Spring and summer runs vary in color and taste depending on the bloom.
Locally sourced: Supports pollinators and reflects the immediate floral sources around the farm.
Uses and benefits
Table sweetener: Stir into tea, drizzle over yogurt, or spread on warm bread.
Baking and cooking: Adds moisture and a floral note to recipes.
Home remedies: Traditional use for soothing coughs and sore throats (consult a healthcare provider for medical advice).
Skincare: Natural humectant for homemade scrubs and masks.
Notes and care
Crystallization is natural and does not indicate spoilage. Gently warm the jar in a bowl of warm water to return to a liquid state.
Not for infants under 12 months due to the risk of botulism.
Store in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed.
Sourcing and stewardship Our honey supports healthy hive management and on-farm pollination. Buying local honey from us helps sustain these efforts and keeps food production close to home.

Small Farm–Raised 1/2 Chicken

What you get
½ Chicken, typically 1–2 lbs (weight may vary)
Pasture exposure and room to roam
No antibiotics or growth-promoting additives
Flavor & cooking These birds have a rich, full chicken flavor and hold up well to many preparations: roast whole with herbs and citrus, spatchcock for quicker even roasting, smoke low and slow, or braise for fall-off-the-bone meat. The skin crisps beautifully when roasted at high heat; the meat stays moist thanks to healthy, active birds.
Simple roasting method
Preheat oven to 425°F. Pat chicken dry.
Season cavity with salt and pepper and stuff with halved lemon and a few herb sprigs (thyme or rosemary). Rub skin with oil
